“I’ve been going to Gabe at ENSŌKAI and he consistently gets it right. I usually get a fade on the sides plus beard work, and I come in with specific beard designs. Gabe actually listens, then makes it happen every time so it looks clean and fresh. The shop is professional, good vibes and well kept, the conversation is easy, and the price is worth it for the quality. If you want someone who can execute a fade and detailed beard work, book Gabe.”

At this point, I don’t even have to tell him what to do when I sit in the chair unless I’m trying to completely change up my look. He just knows exactly what works. On top of being a great barber, he’s incredibly accommodating with scheduling and has personally bailed me out for last-minute hair emergencies more than once. “Anyone who lives in LA and needs a barber knows that it is a constant hunt fine one that's reliable, responsive, respectful, that can do a sharp, professional job every single time, without a ton of small talk in a clean, enjoyable environment. I've lived in LA for 8 years and Gabe is probably my 8th barber...and he's definitely my last. He's all of those things and then some. I referred my very particular friend to him and he felt the same way. He has a brilliant monthly package where I pay a set amount and get 4 cuts per month, he isn't super chatty like a lot of LA barbers (which allows me to work on my phone simultaneously). Also, shout out to the store itself...the music is always great, the other professionals are super nice and respectful...I actually look forward to going every Friday, it's almost cathartic. There's also street parking and parking in the back ($8), so I never worry about that. Starbucks is also on the corner.”

The ambience of his barbershop is unmatched and his vibe and energy is *chef’s kiss* You can come in not feeling yourself and having a bad day to leaving his shop having the best day and feeling like a million bucks! His taper fades are a work of art! You don’t just get a barber with Mark you get a barber, therapist and a whole ass friend haha Ensokai LA… His shop is great for networking btw you never know who you can get connected with this place is the best!”
